May is a VERY IMPORTANT month to us at The Exchange. Each year in May the proceeds from our store make their way out into the world to do good work. This year our gift to the community is $575,000, which is the largest in our 65 year history.
Many of our customers know that each year the proceeds from our store are given away, as grants, to non-profit agencies which serve the most vulnerable in our community. Each and every one does the critical work of caring for the sick, feeding the hungry, comforting the battered, sheltering the homeless…and changing lives for those on the margins. Dallas is a very philanthropic city; and many people have an agency or issue that is particularly important to them. You will probably find the one(s) that tug your heartstrings on this year’s list of 71 agencies, along with others whose names you may not know! Large or small…well known or not…each one does important and life changing work for those they serve. And we are honored to assist them.
Many shoppers these days find it increasingly important to patronize businesses that make a positive impact on their community. We have a 65 year history of giving, with cumulative gifts exceeding $11 million, and no intention of stopping!
